To the outside world, I often wonder what is society's perception of the working realtor lifestyle? Do consumers simply think we sip latte coffees, go shopping, drive fancy cars, and collect hefty commission checks ? Are realtors just well connected "socialites" whom seek rich friends to sell homes? Is the public aware that a real estate agent's work can be very challenging, and carries a zero dollar base salary? Lone Star Book Festival Downtown Seguin, Texas was a Success! 5.29.2021

  The Lone Star Book Festival in the Downtown Square of Seguin, Texas today was a SUCCESS! The Indie Authors and I had a friendly, cool wholesome meal @the Power Plant Restaurant and Venue Friday night. Good times all around. The Book Festival Today had roughly 50 or so individual author, music, and art tents. All were surrounding a well manicured Seguin downtown square park with a beautiful fountain. The  streets were  blocked off, and the visiting patrons and book inquisitor guests were gracious and welcoming. The guests even bought books too. Multiple fellow authors told me they sold 15 books or more. The day started off cool, overcast and drizzly, but by 11 am or 12 noon there were blue skies and sunshine. Thanks to BookPeople for the bookmarks, and BookPeople Bumper stickers. There were so many visitors, they all got taken. ---gvm

The Permanence of Body Tattoos

"Tattoos have become more common over the past couple of decades. A Harris poll in 2012 found that 1 out of every 5 adults — 21 percent — has at least one tattoo. An earlier Pew Research Center study found that the number was closer to 40 percent among those ages 18 to 29." The above quote was derived from the google keyword search, "What percentage of People in general have body tattoos?" How do you, our Sample Spectrum reader feel about the rising prominence and physical display of body art, permanent ink filled and skin stained tattoos? I personally will most likely never, never, ever have a body "art" tattoo needled on me. In actuality, each time I walk past a commercial city tattoo parlor, I cringe with disgust. Needles are NOT my thing. The act of acquiring a Tattoo is a painful procedure. If you are a healthy person, why would oneself purposely inflict nerve pain, for no reason? I just don't get it.
